Florissant
Old Town Partners is encouraging you to Tell Us Your Florissant
Story. This essay contest is open to anyone who can trace a
family presence in the Florissant area back at least 75 years.
. This is your chance to help us keep alive the history of Florissant.
Be a part of the oral history of Florissant!
We ask that
your essay contain interesting facts about your business or
family. If your family had a business in the area or lived in
the area we want to hear from you. 'We want to know your story.'
All stories will be posted at the Fall Festival on Sunday October
14th so everyone can read about your family or business. Winners
will be announced at the Fall Festival. If you would like to
read the winning essays from last year, please stop by our office,
601 rue St. Charles. We have them on display and you may read
them at the office.
The contest
is divided into three categories - under the age of 12, age
13-17 and over 18. The essay should be no more than 500 words
and the deadline for submitting your essay is September 31.
When submitting your essay, please give your name, address,
phone number and email if available. We will also need your
age category. There will be prizes for the winners. A panel
from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley will judge
the stories.

Community College - Florissant Valley Campus and Florissant
Old Town resident.
