Parade
Date - Saturday, December 5th APPLICATION DEADLINE - Friday, November 20, 2009
All parade entries must have lights and
must be assembled at the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine by 5:00 the
night of the Parade!
The
parade will be Saturday, December 5th on rue St. Francois beginning
at 5:30 p.m. The parade is held in conjunction with our annual
Christmas Walk. Our theme this year is "Old Town Winter Wonderland"
The Christmas
Parade begins at Old St. Ferdinand Shrine and proceeds up rue
St. Francois to City Hall. When the parade is completed a brief
ceremony is held to turn on the Christmas lights at City Hall.
The Christmas
Parade is a great way to begin the Christmas season in Florissant.
The parade is open to organizations, individuals, families, anyone
wanting to help us celebrate Christmas in Florissant. There is
no entry fee, just fill out the enclosed application and you will
be part of our parade. PLEASE NO SANTA CLAUS ON YOUR FLOATS.
OLD TOWN PARTNERS HAS ONE SANTA CLAUS IN THE PARADE. There
are no specific types of entries, just what you feel would celebrate
Christmas.
